Any virus outbreak in the "in person" worshipping community will necessitate the
closing of the church until further notice when it is deemed safe to re-enter.
The Council understands if you do not feel comfortable attending in person worship just yet. We respect your decision and invite you to tune into the service (via the church’s website at Youtube livestream link) as it will be live streamed each Sunday.

Hope to see you there!
Peace be with you.

In all circumstances, never forget that we still are the church! As Martin Luther proclaimed in his most recognizable Reformation hymn, “A Mighty Fortress,” God’s truth forever shall abide. Even COVID –19 has no power over us.

Thank you for the new addition to the choir room! Thanks to the many individual donations, fund raising events, and memorials, we were able to acquire a new piano. The instrument is a 2016 Essex upright which was designed by Steinway and manufactured abroad. The slightly used piano was acquired from John Ziener & Sons, Allentown and comes with a three year warranty on action and keys. You’re welcome to visit the choir room and see this wonderful addition.

Rita Frey (New Jerusalem member) called the Cantelmi-Long Funeral Home to find out if they are doing the Stockings for Soldiers program this Christmas season. They are not participating this year, but gave Rita the name of another local company who is doing it. The Unangst Tree Farm in Bath is doing it as part of their Pumpkin Season Business http://www.unangst-treefarm.com/stockings-for-soldiers. Rita was forwarded this link to get more information on how they are handling things. The response to this drive was very enthusiastic from our congregation in the past. Here are the options for donating:
If anyone is interested in this, the deadline is very tight already. Rita would be willing to take any donations directly to the Unangst Farm by 10/31/21. Her email address is rita.frey@rcn.com. The link provides a list of desired items or to provide money for postage to mail the items. The link will direct you to the national page with a donation list from the https://www.stockingsforsoldiers.org/.
Donations can be dropped off anytime at Unangst Tree Farms (Unangst Tree Farms, 7317 Bethlehem-Bath Pike, Bath, PA 18014) during their regular Pumpkin Season Business Hours (Monday-Friday 12P-5P and Sat/Sun 10 A-6 P). Unangst Tree Farms thanks you in advance for participating in their efforts to brighten a soldier's life while being away from family and loved ones during the Christmas Season! Donations MUST be at the farm by October 31st at 5 PM at the latest.
There is an option to order from Amazon & send things directly https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2GTE4I9HTO1VY?ref=cm_sw_em_r_wl_dp_yniTEcXOEqOYq, this link can also be found at the stockingforsoldiers website listed above.
