Pastor Lisa will be holding office hours at the church on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Please give me a call ahead of time if possible so that we can arrange for a time to meet and speak. To note … Hershey kisses are always available on my desk if you, like I, have a need for chocolate! I can also be reached via text messages to my cell phone, Facebook Messenger, or email (MizLKB@aol.com). Please understand if sometimes I cannot answer a call promptly. Kindly leave me a voice message and I will contact you as soon as I am able. ~ Pastor Lisa

When I take our pup, Emmy Lou, for her walks around our neighborhood, I can’t help but take notice of the changing colors of the leaves, the heightened activity of the squirrels gathering their stash for the colder months, and the autumn displays on people’s porches... all sure signals that we are in the change of seasons! Driving past fields of soybeans, apples, and corn, I know that it won’t be long till the farmers begin to plow their land and gather the abundance of their crops.
On Sunday, October 12th, we will be celebrating “Harvest Home” during our worship service ... a time when we intentionally remember and give thanks to our God for those who work tirelessly to provide us with food in all seasons. As has been our practice, we will be collecting non-perishable food and personal care items which then will be donated to our food pantry. Every month, we serve approximately 80 households which includes hundreds of individuals. Your donations go a long way in assisting those who regularly experience food insecurity.
There is a great need right now for canned fruit. Other needed items include tuna,
pasta & sauce, veggies, soup (large cans), crackers, peanut butter & jelly, hamburger/tuna helper, rice, etc. Personal care items include toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper, paper towels, and feminine hygiene products. All donations may be brought to church and placed in the baskets which are located in the narthex hallway.
In appreciation of your partnership in ministry ~ Pastor Lisa Borrell
