Pastor Lisa will be holding office hours at the church on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Please give me a call ahead of time if possible so that we can arrange for a time to meet and speak. To note … Hershey kisses are always available on my desk if you, like I, have a need for chocolate! I can also be reached via text messages to my cell phone, Facebook Messenger, or email (MizLKB@aol.com). Please understand if sometimes I cannot answer a call promptly. Kindly leave me a voice message and I will contact you as soon as I am able. ~ Pastor Lisa

In my recent readings, I came across this neat little nugget of wisdom... “You don’t need a garden to grow beauty.” I love poems and adages which speak to my soul and this one definitely did.
We often imprison ourselves with the thought that -- in order to enjoy life -- everything seemingly has to be perfect ... that is, all of the stars aligning “just right” ... all systems running smoothly ... and no chaos or frustration to distract us ... and we couldn’t be more wrong!
Have you ever walked along a sidewalk and seen a random flower growing between the concrete cracks? Or admired a beautifully painted mural adorning the side of a building on a busy, dirty city street? Or smiled when a brilliant rainbow popped out of the gray clouds after a storm? It’s a matter of being attentive to the little things in life which bring us joy and peace and then choosing to be grateful for them.
There are many things that bring a smile to my heart, like weeping cherry trees adorned with their pink blossoms which dance in the spring breezes or the aroma of newly blossomed flowers as I’m out walking our pup around the neighborhood. My spirit is fortified when someone has been touched by a sermon message or a kindness extended. I also love hearing babies giggle and watching cat videos and eating Hershey kisses!
Look for the little touches of beauty all around you, my friends ... and give thanks to the One who has blessed us with these moments to enjoy.
