Apple's Preschool News

October has been a busy month for all of the preschool children and teachers.  We had our annual field trips to Trauger's Farm Market where we ride in the wagon and learn all about the crops and flowers that are still being harvested in the fall.  As they pull these from their fields, we get to talk about them, pass them around, and then bring them home.  Afterwards, we enjoyed their home-grown popcorn and apple cider, then purchased goodies in their store.

Patti Kramer, photographer, came to capture the smiles and innocence of the children for our photo days.  We are always very pleased with the amazing results.

We were also visited by Randy Yardumian, firefighter, who taught us all about fire safety and that firefighters are our friends and to never be afraid of them.

Our Falloween parties were filled with costumes, games, and treats!

We are proud to say that the preschool families collected 80 pairs of socks for New Jerusalem's 'Socktober' and we are still collecting items for the Food Bank.

Preschool Sunday will be held on November 18, 2018.  We will also be hosting Coffee Hour that morning.  We are very excited to introduce our preschool children and their families to the congregation.

We are very thankful for our many blessings:  Aiden, Alex C., Alex G., AJ, Arianna, Austin, Bailee, Ben, Benson, Bradley, Bryanna, Bryce, Chase, Connor, Elayna, Elijah, Ella, Grace G., Gracie H., Harmony, Jaeda Rae, Jensen, Jonas, Josie, Lillian, Lincoln, Lucas, Luna, Lyla, Maggie, Mallory, Max, Nori, Olivia, Ryan, Timmy, Sarah, Miss Denise, Miss Katrina, and Miss Shani.

Check out the fun things we did at Preschool in October!

We look forward to a year filled with many new learning experiences.  For more information, click here to see our church website's Preschool tab introducing you to our teachers, school days and times, and our philosphy.

You can also find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ApplesChurchPreschool.

HELP US GROW AT NEW JERUSALEM

In the upcoming months we will be launching a “New” giving program called Vanco Payment Solutions.

Here is a brief description about 'Give Electronically'.

Members have asked about it, so we are willing to give it a try for them.

Electronic gifts are fast and secure, and they reduce administrative costs, allowing more of every dollar to fund the important work we are called to do.

* Give anytime, anywhere to your favorite funds

* Schedule and manage recurring donations even when you are on vacation.

* Make one-time donations to special appeals

* Pay for events, programs, and other activities

* Don’t have to cash or a checkbook

Peace be with you,

Terry Ravier

Mr. Phil Diaz’ Music Corner

Music has always played a pivotal role in Phil's life.  Success at the PMEA District, Region and State Chorus festivals motivated Phil to pursue vocal studies at the collegiate level.  Studies at The University of The Arts, The Boston Conservatory, and East Stroudsburg University have only strengthened his musical foundation.  He has performed with the Pennsylvania Lyric Opera, Amici Opera, Boston Conservatory Opera Studio, Philly Pops, and at Northampton Community College.  Phil has extensive conducting and music directing experience having directed ensembles at The University of the Arts, Northampton Community College, Pennsylvania Youth Theatre, and Northampton Area High School.  Many of his vocal students have successfully auditioned into music programs at DeSales, Muhlenberg, Ithaca, Northwestern, The New England Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music.  Phil is a proud member of The National Association of Teachers of Singing, Lehigh Valley Arts Council, and The Nazareth Bath Regional Chamber of Commerce.  In his spare time, Phil enjoys reading, working out, and traveling.  Phil is very excited to be a part of New Jerusalem community and looks forward to a great year.
