Apple's Preschool News

Apple’s Preschool was visited by characters from the cast of “Beauty and the Beast” from DeSales University on March 1st.  Everyone enjoyed their story-telling and craft.  The children are looking forward to the annual St. Patrick’s Day visit from Lucky the Leprechaun.  We will see if there is gold at the end of the rainbow.  We will also have our Easter parties and egg hunts at the end of the month.

It is almost time to order our caterpillars to observe their magical transformation into butterflies.  Come on, Spring!

We look forward to a new year in 2018 filled with many new learning experiences. You can also find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ApplesChurchPreschool.

Message from Quinette Brucker ~  My Dear Friends/Family at NJ, I am overwhelmed by your love and generosity.   All the compassion and well wishes over the past few weeks are so appreciated.  The service, music, blessings on my last Sunday really spoke to my heart.   And the generous monetary gift was a pleasant surprise.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have been a big part of my life for 60+ years in one way or another.  God is good!  I now look forward to including you all in my life in different venues (bible study, crafting, baking, volunteering, bell choir, and I might even learn to quilt!!!), although church music is and always will be my first passion.  I am thoroughly enjoying devoting more time to my family and am delighted that my husband is joining me to worship.  I look forward to traveling more. Who knows where life will take me?!  I know it is kind of a cliche, but I truly believe Ecclesiastes 3: 1-13….There is a right time for everything…..and with God guiding me, I will listen and follow His word.  Love and blessings to each and everyone of you, Quinette Brucker

Lemon Tree Oh So Pretty ~ Many of you have enjoyed watching our lemon tree in the Upper Room as it grew and produced many beautiful lemons over the past few months.  Well, it will soon be time to pick those lemons—NOT YET!  We are working on having fun with it and turning it into a "fun fund raiser."  So, please look, BUT don't touch or pick the lemons.

So when Life Gives You Lemons from a beautiful lemon tree - we are going to have fun and raise money for a good cause.  We will be selling chances ($1 each).  Each “ ticket” goes into the container.   We will pick the lemons and each winner drawn will be awarded a beautiful lemon.  So you are thinking “A dollar for one lemon ?”  Yes - but the money raised will be donated to St. Jude Hospital for Children where many families truly need to “make lemonade when life gives you lemons.”  So, PLEASE buy many tickets for many chances to win many lemons.  As a fun sideline we will be having “lemon baskets” to take chances on and a  coffee hour of amazing lemon desserts.

Please sign up to make a lemon dessert of your choice on Sunday, March 11th.

Good luck to all of you who bought tickets and
Thank You for supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital!
