9:00 a.m.—Worship: Day of Pentecost ~ Today’s festival derives its name from the Jewish festival of Pentecost, observed fifty days after Passover. On the fiftieth day of Easter we celebrate the Holy Spirit as the power of God among us that heals, forgives, inspires, and unites. In the reading from Acts, images of wind and fire describe the Spirit poured out on disciples of all nations. In John’s gospel the risen Christ breathes the Spirit on his followers on Easter evening. In the one Spirit we are baptized into one body, and at the Lord’s table the Spirit unites us for witness in the world.

7:00 p.m.—Preschool Closing Program: Apple's Preschool is very happy to say that we had a wonderful school year for 2016-2017. The month of May was very busy with the Wedding of Q and U, the Hellertown Librarian (Miss Andrea's) visit to our classroom, the Pre-K field trip to the Lehigh Valley Zoo, our end-of-year preparation, along with all of our other learning activities and fun. We welcome you all to attend our Closing Program to be held on Thursday, June 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary, followed by a Make-Your-Own Ice Cream Sundae party in the fellowship hall. At this time we have 32 students enrolled for the 2017-2018 school year and we have opened a P.M. Three Year Old Class. We are very proud of our graduates that will be entering kindergarten in the fall and very excited for all who are returning to our classroom, along with new friends that will be joining us. Have a safe and happy summer!!! Miss Shani and Miss Katrina
